About Dr. Bob
Robert Roth, Ph.D.
Managing Director

Whether working on business projects as a principal, or as an advisor, Dr. Roth helps business owners:

  • Build a valuable business, and
  • Capture the full measure of their financial reward.

Dr. Roth’s unique ability to help business owners build value and sell advantageously is the result of his extensive background:

  • As a “big business” executive, he served as a Vice President for Del Webb Corp. and also for Radisson Hotels. Prior to that he served as National Advertising Director for the Holiday Inns System, Worldwide.

  • As a small business entrepreneur, he founded Roth/Graham Advertising (Minneapolis), served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Grand Canyon Railway (his doctoral dissertation became the project development and business plan), and he had the dubious honor of being a dot.com founder during 1999. His most recent start-up is the Arizona Business Center Consulting Group

  • As a business consultant and educator, Dr. Roth has worked with several dozen Fortune 100 companies, with the American Productivity and Quality Center (first administrator of the Baldrige National Quality Award) and also with several hundred privately-held “small” businesses. He developed and exclusively offers the ABC Exit Strategy SimulationTM and the ABC Exit CoachTM.
  • As a mentor and someone who cares, he served as a Vice President for the American Humane Association (which has been protecting children and animals from abuse for more than 120 years). Bob currently serves on the board of directors of the Arizona Small Business Association (ASBA) and on the board of AZ Entrepreneurs. He is an advisor to Arizona Public Service’s Academy for the Advancement of Small, Minority & Women Owned Enterprises. He also advises a new organization that will provide entrepreneurial training and other employment support to adults with autism.

Dr. Roth holds a B.S. in public communications from Boston University (magna cum laude), and MBA and Ph.D. degrees (Dean’s Award) in business administration from California Coast University. He welcomes speaking and workshop opportunities to share his “way-outside-the-box” approach to building and harvesting the value of a privately held business.
